Miscellaneous Information About Who We Are

• Our best or worst advertisement will be the people of Faith Community Church. Without a doubt, excitement and enthusiasm are contagious. When those who attend FCC are excited about the Lord and their church, others will be drawn not only to the Lord but into the church as well.
• We love children! Children are the heart of our church and as such, we make them a high priority with quality programs, which share the love of Christ.
• We are committed to excellence. That merely means that we want to give our best for God in everything we do.
• God loves unity in the midst of diversity. Both are necessary and we will get a sense that we are achieving God's heart on this when we experience love in the midst of extreme diversity.
• We need to be lovers of change! We never want to change merely for change sake, but to reach people with the gospel we need to be willing to change methods of ministry along the way. Remember however, our message never changes.
• We want to make dress/apparel a non-issue. For us, casual is in!! We realize that the poor cannot at times "dress up" but everyone rich and poor can always "dress down". This merely says to our attendees, come as you are. If God is more interested in the heart, we want to have that be our focus also.
• We want our church to be dramatically marked by love and friendliness! We want our guests to not only sense a warmth and friendliness their 1st Sunday with us, but we want them to be saying the same thing years down the road. We would love to be known most for a love that permeates every relationship of FCC.
• We are committed to grow as a church and as we grow to continue to make a large church small by means of using small groups in ministry.
• We are committed to being a purpose driven church. There must be a relevant purpose behind everything we do in order to build a healthy church that honors the Lord. We must state a purpose before launching a ministry and constantly evaluate the success of that ministry to maintain maximum effectiveness. Being purpose driven keeps us on track to fulfill God's will for Faith Community Church.
• Small groups in homes will be a vital aspect of our entire ministry. Each small group will typically have four components: worship, prayer, Bible study and fellowship. Our desire is for each person who makes Faith Community Church their home to be involved in a small group.
• We will use variety and creativity to build a weekly worship experience that is fresh and vital to where people live. The preaching of God's Word will be Biblical and challenging, yet woven together through life application.
• We want to model generosity as a local congregation.
• Remaining culturally relevant in terms of technology and music is a significant aspect of communicating who we are as a church.
• Understanding God leads to celebrating God.
• For every God action there is a devil reaction.
• We will not be dominated by rules or legalism, but by love and grace.
• We want to be known as a place where people can begin again.
