  • Lucas will be graduating high school in June; he hopes to attend college on the East Coast.
  •  Zoe (12) and Zayn (8) will be making the cross country move with Blake and Lori.

Blake and Lori both have roots in the greater Shenandoah Valley area although they have never lived here. Lori’s family has Mennonite roots in the Valley, and Blake’s mother was born in Christiansburg, VA.

The Woods have planted and/or pastored churches in Kentucky, Maryland, Florida, and Washington State.

Believe it or not, Pastor Keith was a ministry mentor for Blake when Blake planted and pastored a church in Maryland in the 1990’s.

From 2001-2011, Blake and Lori served as missionaries in the Middle East—planting churches in Jordan, Iraq, Syria, and Egypt. Their work there resulted in the establishment of
(IME). FCC has partnered with Blake and Lori’s missionary work and the ongoing work of IME since the beginning.
Pastor Blake earned degrees at the University of Maryland (BA), Asbury Theological Seminary (MDiv) and Regent University (DMin). In addition to his local church leadership roles, he has had the privilege to be an adjunct professor at Seattle Pacific Seminary, Jordan Theological Seminary, and the John Wesley Bible College in Egypt.
Lori finds spending time with their children, reading, and sharing with friends to be sources of refreshment. In addition to spending time with his kids, Blake loves to be in the outdoors—fishing, hunting, or hiking with his dog, Ossie.
